INFORMATION ABOUT MINI T-BALL - 2018
In mini T-ball we will follow a "learn to play" format and as such there are no assigned teams. There will be a number of stations set up on the field and as players and parents arrive on the field they will be directed to station. At each station there will be 5-6 players plus a parent helper for each player. A parent is required to remain with their child for the entire session. Players will remain with their group for the session – parents please try to keep your child with the group for the entire session. The groups will change every Saturday. Every 10-15 minutes a player will ring a bell and players and parents will rotate to a new station. NOTE: everyone rotates in the same direction. Additional parents may be asked to assist each Saturday to help keep the players moving and on task with the skills. Due to the number of players I would like to keep the number of extra parents and siblings on the field to a minimum - older siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends can watch from the bleachers.
We will play every Saturday morning starting April 21st from 9:00 to 10:00 on diamond 2 - the diamond with no grass in the infield.
NOTE: the diamond might change from time to time due to other events at the park. Each player will be given a T-shirt (all players will be # 1) and hat which they are able to keep. In addition each player will get a team and individual photo - picture day to be determine later. Players should bring a glove - cleats are not needed. Helmets will be provided but if parents prefer to purchase their own that's okay.
PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD'S NAME ON THEIR T-SHIRT, HAT, GLOVE AND HELMET.
At the end of each session I give all players a treat (usually twizzlers and a sticker). Please let me know if your child has any food/candy allergies as I don't want anyone to feel left out.
SUPPLIES: I am looking for a couple more child's tennis racket, squash or racket ball racket if anyone has one to donate.
Looking forward to a great season.
