
Volunteer Information
REMINDER TO PARENTS: Lakehill Ball Park is a volunteer organization and as the old saying goes...it takes a village. If you are not able to help out with game requirements, or during practice we understand. There are so many opportunities around the park there is never a shortage of jobs to go around. Please feel free to contact the Volunteer Coordinator with any questions about where you can help out.
Rake the field before and after the game
The Coach will know where the rakes are for the field if raking the field applies to your team. Get a parent who knows how to rake the field to show the other parents what needs to be done so that everyone can help out.
Line the field
Get the parents who know how to line the fields before the game teach the other parents.
Set up and taking down the bases
The Coach will know where the bases are if this applies to your team.
Scorekeeper
Get the parents who know how to keep score teach the other parents if this applies to your team.
Sweep the dugout’s after the game
Brooms will be located in the dugouts that lock. All other dugouts will have brooms in the equipment rooms. Your coach will have keys to get in. You can empty your dugout garbage cans in the large cans around the park. If you need garbage bags, they are at the clubhouse with cleaning supplies.
Clean Bathrooms
There will be a schedule posted online. Bathroom cleaning will be divided amongst all of the teams and set up on a rotating one-week schedule.
All cleaning supplies/mops/ paper towels and bathroom tissue are located at the clubhouse. You can ask at the concession for access. Once you clean the bathrooms you MUST SIGN THE TRACKING SHEET on the clubhouse door.
Mop Club house stairs and floor
This will be included in the online schedule and weekly rotation. Once you finish cleaning you MUST SIGN THE TRACKING SHEET on the clubhouse door.
Field prep during tournaments 1/2 day
Email will go out before hand and parents can sign up online.
Mini Minors
Parents are encouraged to help with the line up and set up stations.
T Ball Parents
Parents are required to help run stations and assist with practices.
T ball and Mini Minors Volunteer Info:
At all times Coaches and Assistant Coach’s should be the only one’s teaching and guiding players; positive reinforcement of the coach’s training during practice and games helps all players strive to do their best.
List of duties for Practices:
Parent volunteer to see team manager at the start of practice if they are volunteering
Assist coach/assistant coach in fielding players during throwing practice
Help catching throws from players to keep pace of play
Line up players for grounders, reinforcing coach’s instructions
Coordinate players for fielding during batting practice
Move equipment to/from each station
Assist in dugout moving players through lineup
Helping put on/take off equipment for players
Reinforce safety practices in dugout and with equipment
Clean up equipment at end of practice
Remind and help players keep dugout clean
List of duties for Games:
Parent volunteer to see team manager at the start of the game if they are volunteering
Assist on the field at first base stopping overthrows and helping players move to second base
Assist on the field at third base moving players along and directing players home
Assist in dugout moving players through lineup
Help put on/take off equipment for players
Reinforce safety practices in dugout and with equipment
Remind and help players keep dugout clean
